Sophia Walder-Hoge has been playing harp for over fourteen years, having performed with Orchestras and Choirs as well as solo and in small ensembles. A Salzedo harpist, she learned through the Suzuki method, studying with Pamela Eldridge, harpist with the Colorado Symphony and Colorado Ballet.
Sophia attended the Young Artists Harp Seminar in Georgia, where she studied with Kimberly Rowe and Susan B. Brady. She likes playing many different styles of music, including Classical, Popular, Modern, Jazz, Religious, Latin, Folk and Celtic, and has been playing at events for several years.
Sophia enjoys creating new music, playing either solo or in small ensembles, and especially playing with her sister on the violin or viola. She lives and performs in Boulder, Colorado, and attends Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
